Back to the lab, by ordinary mail.
The Q-Strip goes into its container and the prepaid pouch, already addressed to the right lab. It dries on the way and travels by ordinary mail, tracked all the way.

The sample dries on its way to the lab.
Every Q-Strip Container holds a desiccant and an oxygen absorber. Once it is closed, the sample dries down evenly, with nothing for her to do.
Desiccant
A molecular sieve pulls the moisture out of the Q-Strip.
Oxygen absorber
Takes up the oxygen inside the container, to protect the sample.
Even and forgiving
Strips dry evenly, and still dry fully if the container was left open for 12 hours.

Help to mail it
The app shows where to mail the kit. In the US, she can also leave it in her own mailbox for pickup.
Tracked through carrier APIs
We know when and where every sample is, scan by scan.
Labeled for its lab from day one
The return label for the lab that runs the panel goes on at manufacturing, so the lab knows what is coming and is ready to accession it.
A countdown, and a text if she forgets.
A countdown in the app
When she taps Begin collection, the app starts counting down the 72 hours she has to mail her kit.
A text if she forgets
If the kit is not mailed in time, she gets an SMS. A text is much harder to miss than an app notification.
Fewer lost samples
Every reminder is timed to the kit, so samples reach the lab while they are fresh.

Long stability changes everything.
Our tests are built for dried samples that stay stable for a long time. A wet sample needs refrigeration and fast, expensive shipping. A Q-Strip travels by ordinary mail, safely and at low cost.

One lab can serve a whole country.
Because a dried sample stays stable for days or years, it does not need a lab around the corner. Qvin Labs in Menlo Park takes samples from anywhere in the US, and so do the other labs in our network, with the same methods and quality for every sample.

Stability is validated for each test and panel.
The same idea as a dried blood spot.
Newborns have been screened from a few dried drops of blood on paper since the 1960s. The Q-Strip uses the same kind of cotton-fiber collection paper, for menstrual blood, collected without a needle.
